Seri Tanjung Pinang
A local property consortium led by Dato’s Seri Terry Tham Ka Hon bought over a controlling stake in the E&O and the business name was changed to Eastern & Oriental Berhad.
The hotel closed at the end of March to undergo major restoration and refurbishment work.
Seri Tanjung Pinang reclamation work started by UEM Group and abandoned on the same year.
Kencana TGI took over and resumed the reclamation and abandoned in 2001.
